Spin a Winter Story

Spin a Winter Story with spinners labeled character, plot, and setting
Generate intriguing writing and drawing prompts with Character, Setting, and Plot spinners! I brainstormed a bunch of ideas for winter themed characters, settings, and plots. The random combination of story elements is sure to make for a wacky and wonderful story.

Give the spinners a try at this link (click the Spin All button).

I made a template in Google Slides that has instructions, a link to the spinners, blanks for recording the prompt, and space to write. The last slide is blank, and it’s for an illustration. Make a copy of the template by clicking the Use Template button.
Students can learn to draw wintry things with shapes in the Shapegrams below. If you’re not already a member, it’s cheap and easy to become one. 😉

Wintry Computer Generated Illustrations

What’s cooler than drawing your own illustrations? Asking an artificial intelligence to generate them for you! TinyWow is one of many free image generators you can find online. Enter a prompt and see what the computer generates for you. I did have to be patient, as image generation takes a few minutes.

I input some prompts I got from spinning the Winter Story wheels. Check out the results. I seem to get better results when I only input the character and setting.
