Free Lessons, Zippers, and Posters
Shapegrams are a great way for students to learn and practice digital drawing. With the free offerings below, teachers can get a taste of what Shapegrams has to offer without spending any money. The House, Face, Ice Cream Cone, and Lion lessons each come with a picture to recreate and a tutorial video. Additionally, there are side activities and posters that enhance the learning experience. Shapegrams lessons are available in Google Slides and Google Drawings.
Students learn digital drawing basics and handy keyboard shortcuts in these four free Shapegrams lessons. They are a sample of the 66 lessons available through membership, which costs only $35 per year.
Zippers are digital drawing challenges that can be completed in a matter of minutes. Each Zipper has a picture to recreate and drawing tips. They are a great way for students to practice between lessons. Beginning Blue Zippers are free (and listed below). Green, Purple, Red, and and Orange Zippers are included with membership. Zippers are available in Google Slides and Google Drawings.

Shapegrams are labeled with colors, indicating recommended skill levels. The Scope and Sequence Chart can help teachers see what tools and techniques are introduced and practiced in each Shapegram.
Growth Mindset Posters and Slides
Each Shapegram has its own punny encouragement poster. Members can download individual posters from each Shapegram’s page. Even if you’re not a member, you can download a PDF or view slides with all 66 silly growth encouragement messages. You will have groan after viewing these posters!
